Memento mori (Latin 'remember that you [have to] die') is an artistic or symbolic reminder of the inevitability of death. The expression 'memento mori' developed with the growth of Christianity, which emphasised Heaven, Hell, and salvation of the soul in the afterlife.

A 7mm wide flat wedding band made of precious metal of your choice: Sterling Silver or Solid gold.

**IMPORTANT NOTE** The blacked out background to the skeleton as shown in the photo is called oxidising which is where we apply an acid to the metal to discolour the metal black. This is superficial and only to the surface so in time it will wear away however can be reapplied. If this ring is ordered in gold or platinum, the background behind the skeleton will not be black as this process doesn't work on these metals. Instead the skeleton will be high polish finish and the background will be a rough textured finish so you still have a nice contrast between the skeleton and the background.
