Fully hallmarked at the London Assay Office, the pendant bears the leopard’s head (London’s mark of origin), the lion passant (guaranteeing sterling silver purity), and the date letter “D”, placing it precisely in 1978. The maker’s mark “JM”, set in a shield-shaped cartouche, remains under research — potentially a smaller-scale or bespoke artisan workshop, adding to the mystique and rarity.
