Mourning jewellery has a long and meaningful history, dating back to the Georgian era (1714–1837) when rings and pendants were worn to honour the memory of loved ones. These pieces carried profound emotional and symbolic significance, often combining beauty with remembrance.

At Windfall, we’ve reimagined this tradition with our own signature style — creating a Mourning Ring that feels both timeless and modern. A true time capsule of love lost, but never forgotten.

This design features a 10mm round rose-cut stone or diamond, set above a skull motif that peers through the gem. The scroll-shaped band carries symbolic engravings inspired by antique mourning jewellery, including:

  • An hourglass to remind us of the preciousness of time

  • Gravedigger tools, skulls, and a coffin — motifs long associated with remembrance and mortality

To honour the original tradition of mourning jewellery, we’ve included a customisation option: a box to request engraved names, initials, or dates on the inside of the band. Leave it blank if you prefer a clean finish.

Crafted with care, this piece is more than jewellery — it’s a memorial ring, a symbol of remembrance, and a work of art steeped in history.

  • EVERYDAY -  3 - 4 weeks
  • EVERY DAY with GEM SETTING: 5 weeks
  • CUSTOM SIGNETS: 5 to 6 weeks
